Installation of the Vapour Recovery Units at Shell depots in Ladysmith, Polokwane, Rocky’s Drift, Witbank and Mosselbay. Scope of work included SMEIP. The purpose of this project is to capture vapour release from offloading and loading processes at the depots. Project Planning, Preparation, De-Commissioning, Execution and Commissioning of the statutory Shutdown Mechanical & Piping scope of work; isolation, opening, cleaning, inspection and repair of equipment and piping. Services included the co-ordination of cranes; machining, heat treatment, scaffolding, insulation, sandblasting and painting. This project commenced in 2006 and is ongoing. It entails maintenance and T&I of statutory compliance of petrochemical equipment; pipe fabrication and installation – brown and green fields; electrical & instrumentation maintenance fabrication, erection and tank maintenance’ turn around and shutdowns; mechanical and services scope in a multi discipline service and activity; material management solutions and productivity management. New multi-products pipeline designed to convey various petroleum products between Durban and Johannesburg. Planned plant maintenance and repair.
